At Soaring Steps, we follow a play-based, faith-centered curriculum that nurtures every part of a child, mind, body, heart, and spirit. Our lessons combine early literacy, numeracy, science exploration, creative arts, and motor skill development with Biblical truths and character-building values.
We believe that children learn best through joyful, hands-on experiences that encourage curiosity, independence, confidence, and a love for God’s Word. Every activity is thoughtfully designed to help children grow academically while also developing Christlike character, such as kindness, gratitude, and compassion.
Our Faith-Integrated Learning Approach Includes:
✅ Fine Motor Skills: Art, puzzles, building blocks, and early writing; often tied to Bible stories or scripture-themed crafts.
✅ Gross Motor Skills: Music and movement, outdoor play, and obstacle courses; celebrating that our bodies are a gift from God to enjoy and care for.
✅ Early Literacy: Storytelling, phonics, and letter recognition; incorporating Bible stories, memory verses, and Christian books.
✅ Math Readiness: Counting, shapes, patterns, and problem-solving; discovering God’s order and design in creation through numbers and patterns.
✅ Social-Emotional Growth: Sharing, teamwork, and self-expression; learning to love others as God loves us and to use our gifts to bless others.
Every day at Soaring Steps is an opportunity for children to learn, play, and grow closer to God while building strong foundations for kindergarten and beyond.
A Peek Into Our Yearly Themes at Soaring Steps
At Soaring Steps, each month is filled with meaningful learning experiences that combine school readiness skills with faith-based lessons. Our themes are designed to spark curiosity, creativity, and a love for God’s Word while helping children prepare for kindergarten.
🍎 September – All About Me & My Family
We start the year by helping children discover how wonderfully God made them! Through name recognition, family activities, and simple self-awareness lessons, children learn Psalm 139:14 – “I am fearfully and wonderfully made".
🍂 October – Fall & God’s Creation
Children explore the beauty of changing seasons through science activities, leaf crafts, and nature walks. We connect this to Genesis 1, teaching that God created a world full of colors, shapes, and wonders for us to enjoy.
🙏 November – Thanksgiving & Gratitude
This month focuses on expressing thankfulness to God and others. Through crafts, songs, and stories, children learn 1 Thessalonians 5:18 “Give thanks in everything.” We practice gratitude by counting blessings and sharing kind words.
🎄 December – Christmas & Giving
Children experience the joy of giving as we celebrate the birth of Jesus (Luke 2). Activities include nativity storytelling, simple acts of kindness, and holiday crafts that remind us that Christmas is all about God’s greatest gift to us.
